The Carbon Dino Ladies soccer team continued their domination scoring nine goals in their fourth straight game defeating the San Juan Broncos 9-1. They have been defensive minded as well only allowing four goals in their last four games.
Sitting at 6-1 overall and 2-0 in the Region 12 standings tying them with Emery for first place. The Dinos have been led on the field this season by senior Grace Broadbear with 17 total goals this season. Defensively goalkeepers Emma Flemett, a freshman and senior Katie Marshall have only allowed 12 total goals through seven games.
In the game against the Broncos, Broadbear and freshman Kacie Brady led the way with 3 goals each. Junior Ryan Brady added two goals and senior Kayla Barney would chip in one more.
The Dinos would score three goals in the first half and then exploded for six goals in half number two.
Up next for Carbon is a road match up with Richfield, 5-1 overall. The Dinos next home game will be September 17 when they will host the Emery Spartans.
