Georgia Ann Blankenship Love, age 66, passed away unexpectedly in her home on August 31, 2016. Georgia was born in Dragerton, Utah on March 1st, 1950 to George E. and Frances Newell Blankenship.
Georgia and her parents lived in East Carbon, Utah where she remained a long time resident. Though she left briefly to attend school at LDS Business College in Salt Lake City, her heart and family remained in East Carbon. After college, Georgia met her life partner, Joseph Love, and moved back to East Carbon. The two were married on October 16, 1973 in San Diego, California. Together they raised two children, Jodie Ann Love and Cory Joseph Love.
Georgia was well known in the community as she worked in the schools as a “lunch lady”, and spent many years greeting people with her smiling face at Wal-Mart of Price. Georgia was a very friendly, kind and understanding person, it was almost impossible to upset her. She spent her time here with us baking, solving crossword puzzles, enjoying the holidays, laughing with family and chatting on the phone with her best friend, Debbie. Georgia and her mother, Frances, had a relationship of great love and admiration. They enjoyed spending time together and did it frequently up until her passing in 2000. Georgia also had a strong love for her cow collection, her cats, and of course her children and grandchildren.
Survived by her children, Jodie Ann Love (Monty Kiddy) and Cory Joseph Love; grandchildren, Joseph Cole Hunt, Marki Ann Hunt, Jeffrey Boone Hunt, Courtney Jackson and Kaylee Love and her loving cats, Buttercup and Daisy.
Preceded in death by her parents and her husband, Joe.
Georgia will be missed dearly by many, but will forever live on in our hearts.
For those we love don’t go away, they walk beside us every day, unseen, unheard, but always near, still loved, still missed and very dear.
